ConsensusDocs Webinar: Delegated Design in Preconstruction: Managing Risk, Roles, and Responsibilities

Tuesday, June 16, 2026 (8:00 AM - 9:00 AM) (HST)

Description

Delegated design has become an increasingly common feature of modern construction projects. When design responsibilities are shifted, either intentionally or unintentionally, to contractors and specialty trades, unclear roles and misaligned expectations can create significant legal, insurance, and risk management challenges. This ConsensusDocs webinar will explore how delegated design is addressed during preconstruction, focusing on contract language, collaboration, and risk allocation. Industry experts will discuss how owners, designers, contractors, and specialty trades can better define responsibilities early in the project lifecycle to avoid disputes later.
