Project Manager Development Program

Description

AGC Edge Project Manager Development Program (PMDP) is highly interactive and offers construction-specific training developed and field-tested by and for contractors. The highly collaborative virtual program provides instruction via Zoom and training to prepare construction industry professionals with the necessary skills and knowledge to increase the participant’s ability to work successfully with others to ensure project success.

These five courses cover the basics of project management and provide tactics and strategies for ensuring project success.  

Courses will be offered online via the Zoom platform, a webcam is required for participation. Registration costs include all course participant’s materials.

Meet Your Course Instructor:

Mark O. Federle | PE, Ph.D., CPC, F.ASCE, NAC, CM-Lean

Mark Federle is currently the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs for the OPUS College of Engineering at Marquette University. He has also served as the McShane Chair of Construction Engineering and Management (Professor-in-Charge of the CEMA program), April 2008 – Aug 2016, where he started the first ABET-accredited (as of 2010) Construction Engineering Program. Previously he was Chief Information Officer for The Weitz Company in Des Moines for 9 years. Before joining The Weitz Company, Federle was the Professor-in-Charge of the Construction Engineering program at Iowa State University, where he taught for nine years. Dr. Federle has made industry-based presentations on leadership, project management, lean, and ethics for the past three decades. He has spoken extensively at National, Regional, and State conventions on various topics. He has published extensively on a variety of topics related to construction engineering. Mark earned his Ph.D. and Master’s in Construction Engineering and Management from the University of Michigan. He earned a BS in Civil Engineering from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology. Mark is a licensed Professional Engineer, CM-Lean, and a Certified Professional Constructor. Rose-Hulman awarded Mark the Career Achievement Award in 2005. AGC of America recognized him as Instructor of the Year in 2011. He helped develop content for the Lean Construction Education Program and STP. He teaches in the PMC, PMDP, and AMP programs and teaches a variety of company and project management courses for local chapters.


Time

Classes are held Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from September 12th to September 30th from 6 PM- 11 PM.  Eastern Time.

Cost for the program is $1,695.00 for members and $2,375.00 for non-members. Includes all course participant’s manuals.

Cancellation Policy:

A full refund will be given to cancellations made 14 calendar days prior to the class kick off. After such time, no refunds will be given. Replacements are acceptable and must be submitted via email to rockkie.dunton@agc.org.

AGC reserves the right to cancel programs up to 10 days prior to start date if a minimum number of attendees is not met.
